In January 2022 Wiktoria Lada, MSc and Bartłomiej Nalepa MSc PhD students in the Division of Refrigeration and Heat Pumps began their sevaral-months-long scientific internships at the Center for Energy and Thermal Sciences, National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon, France. The supervisor of both doctoral dissertations is Bartosz Zajaczkowski, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof. Scientific supervision in France will be provided by Prof. Jocelyn Bonjour and Prof. Rémi Revellin. Both internships are the next stage of scientific cooperation conducted since 2015, the most tangible result of which is the international Polish-French doctorate (co-tuelle) defended in 2021 by Karolina Wojtasik, PhD.
Ms. Lada, for whom this is her second stay in Lyon, will continue the theoretical and experimental analysis of heat transfer during the evaporation of water drops under low pressure conditions. Mr. Nalepa will analyse the thermodynamic properties of the heat transfer fluid enhanced with encapsulated phase change material (mPCM).
