Research and teaching laboratories belonging to the Department of Thermal Sciences are located on the main campus of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology in buildings A-4 ("the Old Boiler House", pol. "Stara Kotłownia") and A-6.

Building A-4 is one of the oldest historic buildings on the university campus. The first laboratory classes were organized there, shortly after the opening of the university after 1945. Currently, it houses offices, lecture halls, research and teaching laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering.
