prof_a_andruszkiewicz.pngBio: In 2010 he obtained his habilitation in the field of technical sciences, in the discipline of construction and operation of energy machines at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The subject of the habilitation thesis was: "Ultrasonic impulse echo method in the study of two-phase liquid-gas flows ”.

He obtained his doctorate in the field of technical sciences, electronics and metrology on in 1996, defending his doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Thermal Sciences and Fluid Mechanics of the Wrocław University of Science andTechnology, entitled: "Studies of two-phase gas flow - solid using the correlation method".

Research interests:

  • related issues of waste gas treatment systems with recovery and utilization of waste heat,
    identification of two-phase flows, solid gas, liquid (including liquid metal) - gas by non-contact methods,
  • thermal metrology,
  • tests of thermoenergy machines and devices,
  • balancing, modeling and optimization of factor streams in water-steam cycles of power plants,
  • construction of research and teaching stations in the field of metrology, metrology and testing of energy machines and devices.

boguslaw_bialko.jpgBio: In 2020 he obtained his habilitation in the field of engineering and technical sciences, in the discipline of mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering at the Wrocław University of Science andTechnology. The topic of the habilitation thesis was: "Thermodynamic aspects of the applicability of a mixture of saturated hydrocarbons for the implementation of left-circulation cycles".

He obtained his doctorate in the field of technical sciences, mechanics and refrigeration specialties in 2000, defending his doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Thermal Sciences and Fluid Mechanics of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, entitled: "Optimization of the composition of non-destructive refrigerant mixtures for ozone in systems implementing counter-freewheeling cycles".

Research interests:

  • possibilities of obtaining and using low-temperature heat as lower sources of heat pumps;
  • methods of improving efficiency coefficients of heat pumps and solar energy conversion systems, and their integration in heating and air conditioning systems;
  • use of mixtures of synthetic and natural zeotropic agents as substitutes for refrigerants currently withdrawn for ecological reasons, used in refrigeration systems;

zbigniew_krolicki.jpgBio: Obtained the title of Professor in the field of technical sciences on December 21, 2007. He obtained his habilitation in the field of technical sciences, in the discipline of mechanics and specialization in theory and measurements of thermal machines, obtained on 01.01.1991 at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The topic of the habilitation thesis was: "Throttling of two-phase refrigerants".

Research interests:

  • refrigeration and thermodynamics with particular emphasis on thermal and flow phenomena in compressor and sorption refrigeration systems, heat pumps, heat pipes and thermosiphons;
  • phase transformations of refrigerants and their mixtures, new high-temperature factors, possibilities of obtaining and using low-temperature heat
  • optimization of heat exchangers, especially geothermal probes.

Bio: He obtained his habilitation in the field of technical sciences, the discipline of energy, on May 25, 2018 at the Faculty of Environmental and Power Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology. The topic of the habilitation thesis was: "Increasing the efficiency of dust removal of fine particles in electrostatic precipitators by changes in the design of corona electrodes". He obtained his doctorate in the field of technical sciences, mechanics and mechanics on October 15, 1998, defending his doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Thermal Technology and Fluid Mechanics of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, entitled: "Experimental study of the speed of migration of fly ash particles in the electrostatic precipitator model".

Research interests:

  • electrostatic dedusting and modeling of atmosphere protection devices.
  • separation of solid particles from the gas phase in the corona discharge field
  • analysis of the possibility of increasing the efficiency of fine particle dedusting by appropriate shaping of the electric field distribution by changing the design of discharge electrodes
  • physical modeling of dust collectors and desulphurization reactors is aimed at obtaining the optimal, due to their effectiveness, gas flow through the tested atmosphere protection devices

Bio: I am a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST). In March 2009, I obtained a doctorate with honors, defending my work on heat and mass transfer processes in adsorption systems. This gave me the opportunity to do postdoctoral fellowships in the United States and the Netherlands. In September 2018, I obtained my habilitation. Currently, I am employed at the Department of Thermal Sciences. In September 2020, I was appointed by the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology to act as the Vice-Dean for General Affairs at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering.

Research interests:

  • thermal and mechanical issues, especially in the field of energy, environmental engineering and refrigeration;
  • modern refrigeration technologies for integrated cogeneration and tri-generation systems (adsorption cooling);
  • phase transitions under low pressure conditions;
  • thermosiphons and heat pipes;
  • the use of nanoparticles to increase the physical and thermal capabilities of refrigerants;
  • numerical simulations of complex systems based on models described by systems of differential balance equations;
