In September 2023, Dominika Kaczmarek, MSc, a doctoral student in the Division of Refrigeration and Heat Pumps, began her three-month internship at the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (CNAM) in Paris. The supervisor of her doctoral thesis is Bartosz Zajaczkowski, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof.

Ms. Dominika works under the scientific supervision of Prof. Brice Tremeac, director of the Lafset laboratory, and Dr Amin Altamirano Cundapi. Her work focuses on conducting numerical (CFD) and experimental investigation on the effect of hydrostatic pressure on the boiling process at low pressure.

This is the second long-term research internship of Ms. Dominika, the previous one was at CNR ITAE (Institute for Advanced Energy Technologies) in Messina, where she worked on the topic of adsorption refrigeration.
