The XXVI Symposium ENERGETICS BEŁCHATÓW 2024 was held on 2-4.09.2024 annually organized by BMP Sp. z o.o. Sp. k.

The meeting aimed at representatives of the power and heating industry, representatives of professional and industrial power plants and combined heat and power plants, as well as industry companies, was attended by about 400 people. The symposium included both debates and presentations on the current problems of the energy industry and the need for its transformation.

At the invitation of the Organizers, representatives of our Department participated in the Symposium: Ms. Prof. Maria Jędrusik and Mr. Prof. Arkadiusz Świerczok, who presented a paper in Panel VI: “Green solutions in energy: technologies of the future”. The numerous participants in the symposium testified to the continued interest in the topics discussed. Admittedly, the meeting did not provide a clear answer to the question of what the path to changing Poland's energy mix should look like. However, there are many indications that information about the death of the conventional power industry turns out to be premature.
