The program is an element of appreciation of those teaching at Wroclaw University of Technology by students. The competition was announced by the Rector, but its implementation and conduct was entrusted to the students. The winners and laureates were typed by the students' faculty councils, and an eight-member representation of the PWr Student Government decided on the awards.
We are very pleased to announce that the laureate of the first edition of the Quintus program was Prof. Artur Andruszkiewicz, head of the Division of Energy Metering.
Among the strategic goals of the student council was the popularization and promotion of didactics and quality of education. Students introduced a didactic guide, organized a didactic conference with the participation of the best trainers from technical universities in Poland, and were involved in the creation and implementation of the Quintus program.
- This year, we adopted four areas as the criteria for the competition: innovation of the tools and teaching methods used, openness and respect towards colleagues and students, individualization of the approach to students (including issues related to the conduct of consultations, thesis, accessibility) and additional activities such as for scientific circles or the organization of educational outings and excursions .
From each department, awards were given in three categories - non-degree holders (including doctoral students), PhDs, and post-doctoral fellows and professors. In addition, two awardees were selected from the Foreign Language Department and one person from the Physical Education and Sports Department. In total, therefore, the awards went to 42 people, from among whom three winners were selected.
