Meeting with representatives of Westinghouse Electric Company

We cordially invite you to a meeting with a delegation from Westinghouse Electric Company and a lecture "Evolution of US civil light water nuclear technology and the development of passive plants". The meeting was organized on the initiative of Wojciech Zacharczuk, PhD and Andrzej Tatarek, PhD, Assoc. Prof. from the Division of Energy Metering.

The meeting will be held on December 7th from 11.15-14.00 in the auditorium of the Wrocław University of Technology (building A-1). It will be a good opportunity to listen to a lecture on the AP1000 nuclear reactor, as well as to learn about the assumptions of the internship program, which will take place in 2022 at the Westinghouse headquarters in the United States.

Westinghouse Electric Company is an American company operating in the nuclear energy industry for over 60 years. The first American commercial nuclear power plant with a PWR (pressurized water reactor) was put into operation in 1958 in Shippingport (Pennsylvania, USA). Nearly 430 nuclear reactors using Westinghouse technology are in operation around the world.

The meeting will be organized in a hybrid form. There are 50 seats available in the auditorium. If you are willing to participate in the meeting, please follow the rules of sanitary safety and read the provisions of ZW 142/2021. For people who want to participate in the meeting, we will remotely organize an on-line broadcast on the YouTube channel.
