Exhaust Gas Treatment Techniques Seminar 2024

On 20.05.2024 at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, within cooperation of the Department of Thermal Sciences of the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering with industry, a seminar entitled: Exhaust Gas Treatment Techniques was held. At the invitation of the organizers (A. Świerczok and M. Jędrusik and colleagues D. Łuszkiewicz and J. Niewczas), the meeting was attended by 60-participants who represented both:

  • technical universities: Wroclaw University of Science and Technology - Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering, Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery, Polish Academy of Sciences, Gdańsk,
  • industrial units, among others: PENTOL ENVIRO Poland, RAFAKO S.A., ZVVZ ENGINEERING, a.s., Milevsko, Czech Republic, PGE Energia Ciepła S.A.-Kogeneracja Wrocław, PGE Energia Ciepła S.A.-Elektrownia Rybnik, PGE GiEK S.A. Branch Elektrownia Opole, PGE GiEK S.A. Turów Power Plant Branch, ENERGA Elektrownie Ostrołęka S.A., ENERGOPOMIAR Gliwice, KGHM, ELWO Engineering Sp. z o.o.

In addition, the Seminar was attended by students of the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering.

The decades-long history of the seminar testifies to the continued interest in the topics discussed. This time, issues related to changes in the Polish energy mix, challenges faced by users of flue gas cleaning facilities and technologies for reducing CO2 emissions (CCUS) were presented.
