Starting this semester, students performing exercises in the Laboratory of Refrigeration and Heat Pump Laboratory will use a new educational unit allowing them to learn about the construction and operation principles of modern refrigeration systems. The device will broaden the offer of the laboratory with exercises addressing topics of electronic control and regulation of refrigeration systems. In addition, the unit is equipped with a controller allowing simulation of the most common failures in such systems.
The modernization of the Laboratory of Refrigeration and Heat Pumps is related to the development of the Faculty's educational offer with a new specialization in refrigeration, cryogenic and process engineering. The goal is to enable future engineers to acquire practical skills on modern equipment that they are very likely to encounter in their future professional careers.
